He previously worked as a certified executive chef, pastry chef, food service director and regional director. He also earned a bachelor’s degree in culinary arts and hotel management from California Culinary Institute, as well as a pastry certificate from Le Cordon Bleu Paris. Jeffrey looks forward to passing along his variety of experiences to students interested in the field and helping them find success.

is the HBI instructor for Basic Electrical at Delaware Valley Job Corps Center. Prior to his current role, Josh supervised utility inspection crews covering the entire eastern U.S. He now enjoys preparing young adults for the obstacles they will encounter and helping them find successful careers.

is a Home Builders Institute (HBI) instructor for the Advanced Electrical Service Technician training area and has served as an HBI instructor for 15 years. He also brings 12 years of professional experience in the electrical field working on commercial and residential projects. Eric earned his bachelor’s degree at SUNY Delhi and holds multiple certifications in the field, including electrical construction, OSHA 500-hour instructor, national green building standard and more.

has worked with the Delaware Valley Job Corps Center team for over 20 years. He brings over 12 years of customer service experience to his role as Hotel and Lodging instructor. Shawn enjoys using a student-focused approach in his classroom and teaching students how to best provide a quality guest experience.

is a Security instructor at Delaware Valley Job Corps Center. He brings over 20 years of volunteer firefighter experience and 18 years of experience in the health care field serving people with developmental disabilities. He is certified by the state of New York to teach eight- and 16-hour courses for students to receive their unarmed security guard certification, as well as by the American Heart Association to teach basic life support and CPR. Dan also holds an associate degree from SUNY Sullivan.

brings 24 years of experience as a high school teacher to her role as a High School Diploma instructor at Delaware Valley Job Corps Center. She holds a bachelor’s degree in history and medieval studies from Binghamton University, has a master’s in education from Sacred Heart University, and is continuing her education in professional development courses. 

recently joined the education department at Delaware Valley Jobs Corps Center as a full-time Math instructor. She brings experience in special education and loves using her knowledge to guide students.

is an Academic instructor at Delaware Valley Job Corps Center. She recently retired from the Binghamton City School District after 30 years of teaching English and reading. Colleen loves to read and wants to instill this love of reading in her students. She holds a permanent certification for teaching English grades 7 through 12 and is an Olweus Bullying Prevention Program trainer.

is the Welding instructor at Mississippi Job Corps Center. As a Job Corps graduate, Javeus saw the value of the program and decided to return as an instructor, using his skills from the program and the college he attended after completion to guide students. “In my 17 years as a Career Technical instructor at the Mississippi Job Corps Center, the most rewarding part of my career has been assisting students with completing the program and finding employment that allows them to be self-sufficient.”
